The top back calf muscle and muscle right above the knee has been very tight and tender, so today will be my last day off(started to run on Sunday but felt it so I cut it). I haven’t been rolling/stretching after my runs like I should, so this is the very minor effects of doing so at this mileage. This happened to me the beginning of my freshman xc season too, and I was fine the rest of the season, so hopefully it’ll be the same. I have to admit, I’m very cautious when it comes to recovery. I’m glad it’s nothing that requires actual time off.
