6 with the recruit, 4 running to and back from his hotel. Nice morning, love how the snow looks on the mountains. This route was almost an exact replica of a run on my visit, running with Mike and Cam when he was in town. Deja vu, except in different shoes.

AM- 8.5 with the recruit, Nate and I covered the rest running to the hotel and back. Pretty easy run due to the snow

Woke up at 6:30 to run most of my mileage before weights. It was 8 degrees outside. Went back to sleep and missed weights. Ran 8.3 at around noon, could only fit in that much between a class and a project. I interviewed some of the top girls on the team for my Sports Writing class I'm taking as an elective. It's crazy how every single one of those girls on the top 7 has gone through a rough time in their running careers due to health issues. Yet they made nationals for the first time and took 25th despite a pretty mediocre day. The Houle factor baby.

Added on 3.7 later on after sunset, went slower and was feeling that second lunch brew up in my stomach. Good thing my double was barely anything.

Just over 12 miles after my classes. Incorporated 5x30 sec pickups in the middle. The buildup before workouts start is always interesting, your legs feel so fresh constantly since there's no intensity (in our program that is, just some power runs at the most).

Attempted a 80%, my body wasn’t ready for that. Stuck around 5:00 pace, stopped at 2.5 miles cause there’s no point in having to really push that type of effort at this point. Cooled down longer after, as fun running with some guys again

Ran the first 1/3 by myself, till I ran into josh and max. Ran the rest with them, felt good. Came back home to find Paul (our assistant coach) in my house waiting for me to sign some stuff about hosting a recruit this past weekend. Yep that's about all the fun I had today, the rest is full of paying for procratinating with school work

10 in the morning-ish

grass loops in the afternoon, 4 miles. I haven't been able to do these in awhile since there's been snow on the field, but i enjoyed it. I usually do my doubles on the grass (when there's no snow), or either up towards the canyon from my house. I enjoy the grass more, its nice and cushiony. Also peaceful since there's no one usually out there.

4 in the morning, grass loops.

10 with the twins and josh. Was gonna do pickups, but it was pretty windy where we were gonna do them on the run. The wind was gonna be in our face the whole time, so I cut it. Pretty quick anyways, 6:31 avg.

11 after my first of three finals, incorporated some minute on pickups with 90 sec rest. Wind was calm today. Also was invited to go to the Gala Ballroom dinner, with all the big Uninversity boosters and hall of fame inductees. Our program was introduced due to the success we've had the past few years, twas perty cool. Aidan if you're reading this, you looked good boo

Ran after my finals, 5x30 sec pickups. Body felt decent, mentally exhausted from my back to back finals. Headed up north a bit after my run with josie, met everybody else up at alison’s house in Payson to attend our friend’s/ ex teammate’s wedding reception. Was fun, good to see Dakota, I’m glad he’s happy. Crashing the night over at Alison’s, got another wedding reception to attend to tomorrow up closer to salt lake

Flight landed right around noon, parents picked me up, and I went for a nice run around Mission Bay. My dad showed me around, he has his athletes run here a lot for interval work on the grass and just mileage (it's his second year as the Head XC & Track coach at San Diego Mesa College). Legs feeling good, ready to chow down on some mexican food-it's been awhile.

Loops around the chula vista golf course in the morning, it's just over a 3 mile dirt loop. Always a good amount of people getting their exercise in. One of those days where the body takes 5 miles to finally feel good

2.3 miles easy, loops around the neighborhood, bout 3/4 mile around. One turn is a super super steep incline, the other is super steep downhill

Two loops and some around Miramar lake with my dad on the elliptiGO, was pretty quick. 5xminute pickups

3 miles doing loops around neighborhoods, there's no possible way to escape these steep inclines.

9.5, 3 loops around Chula Vista golf course, kept it as a nice recovery pace

3 miles around neighborhoods, there’s no avoiding any steep inclines here. So much for recovery shakeouts while I’m down here, these are harder than my actual runs which will have pickups thrown in them. I’m at least heading back up to Arroyo Grande today

Arrived in AG a little late last night due to the holiday traffic through LA. What usually takes 5 hours to drive from San Diego to here, took 8 1/2. So I started my run somewhat before noon. Did a big loop, out to our rural areas, threw in some pickups after mile 8. My legs felt tired until I shook them out during the pickups.

Drove up to cal poly, easy pace on poly canyon loop. my dad ran into the cal poly coach mark conover running around the track. They chatted it up for a bit. My dad ran for cal poly for two years back in ‘02-‘04, conover was the coach back then as well. Ran into a ton of cows blocking a gate on the run, got cow poop all over my shoes as a result going through. Besides that, it was nice running this loop, I missed it. Probably my favorite route back in this area

4 miles round neighborhoods after sunset

Early Christmas morning, did 11. I love how pretty it looks here in Arroyo Grande/ San Luis Obispo area during the winter/spring, the hills are so green. Nice and cloudy morning, rained a little bit last night apparently.

Double later on before sunset, went to my old high school and did some grass loops before throwing in just a few pickups around the track. I love running around the track backwards, mixes it up from leaning on the left leg constantly on turns. 4 total

Drove up to cal poly, ran 5 before starting pickups, did minute pickups on a large grass field, then did some 2 min pickups on the outside of the track backwards. Was going a lot faster on the track as compared to the grass, was pretty windy up there. Interesting cause just 12 minutes away where I live, there’s not a slight breeze

Easy 4 around neighborhoods. Body has been feeling a bit tired lately
