| | Flight landed right around noon, parents picked me up, and I went for a nice run around Mission Bay. My dad showed me around, he has his athletes run here a lot for interval work on the grass and just mileage (it's his second year as the Head XC & Track coach at San Diego Mesa College). Legs feeling good, ready to chow down on some mexican food-it's been awhile.

| | Loops around the chula vista golf course in the morning, it's just over a 3 mile dirt loop. Always a good amount of people getting their exercise in. One of those days where the body takes 5 miles to finally feel good
2.3 miles easy, loops around the neighborhood, bout 3/4 mile around. One turn is a super super steep incline, the other is super steep downhill

| | Two loops and some around Miramar lake with my dad on the elliptiGO, was pretty quick. 5xminute pickups
3 miles doing loops around neighborhoods, there's no possible way to escape these steep inclines.

| | 9.5, 3 loops around Chula Vista golf course, kept it as a nice recovery pace
3 miles around neighborhoods, there’s no avoiding any steep inclines here. So much for recovery shakeouts while I’m down here, these are harder than my actual runs which will have pickups thrown in them. I’m at least heading back up to Arroyo Grande today

| | Arrived in AG a little late last night due to the holiday traffic through LA. What usually takes 5 hours to drive from San Diego to here, took 8 1/2. So I started my run somewhat before noon. Did a big loop, out to our rural areas, threw in some pickups after mile 8. My legs felt tired until I shook them out during the pickups.

| | Drove up to cal poly, easy pace on poly canyon loop. my dad ran into the cal poly coach mark conover running around the track. They chatted it up for a bit. My dad ran for cal poly for two years back in ‘02-‘04, conover was the coach back then as well. Ran into a ton of cows blocking a gate on the run, got cow poop all over my shoes as a result going through. Besides that, it was nice running this loop, I missed it. Probably my favorite route back in this area
4 miles round neighborhoods after sunset
