| | Tried to throw in some minute pickups, but stopped after s few since I was struggling through the snow. That’s it for the New Year’s Day

| | 11 Walmart canyon/dikes loop, body felt like crap for most of the run, last two miles felt super easy like I could’ve done the same loop again
4.4 double, body felt good

| | 11 mile loop in the morning, feel out of shape going backwards Walmart canyon. Long uphills in cedar keep you humble
4.7 double, they finally plowed the track so I threw in some 30 sec pickups in there.

| | Different 11 mile route than yesterday, glad it’s getting warmer for a bit. Funny thing is, 40 degrees back when I used to live in California was absolutely cold. Now, after some 15-20 degree days this past week, I was ready to take the shirt off.
3 easy trying to break in newer shoes

| | The top back calf muscle and muscle right above the knee has been very tight and tender, so today will be my last day off(started to run on Sunday but felt it so I cut it). I haven’t been rolling/stretching after my runs like I should, so this is the very minor effects of doing so at this mileage. This happened to me the beginning of my freshman xc season too, and I was fine the rest of the season, so hopefully it’ll be the same. I have to admit, I’m very cautious when it comes to recovery. I’m glad it’s nothing that requires actual time off.
